When
I Install UCM 11 g on Win 7, when I opened the UCM admin loin URL i.e.,
http://localhost:16200/cs I saw alert in each individual page. On
Content server browser window, you will get following alert:-
"The
weblayout directory is on a filesystem with 8dot3 semantics. Legacy 16-bit
8dot3 filenames conflict with revision labels and will cause file loss. Disable
8dot3 semantics by running
Installer
DisableNtfs8dot3 and then restarting Windows."
The Next Step I searched in Google I got one link to resolved this:
But I feel difficulty to to find the same path,so I searched in windows site to get the solution.(to find the path.
Below is the solution for this Issue:
1. open run and type regedit.exe and open it will open the Registry editor.
2. Once Registry Editor is opened Click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -->Then System --->then CurrentControlSet-->Then Control --->Then File System.
3. Right click on NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation click modify or Double Click on NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation.
4.change Value data by default to 1. click "OK"and then close the Registry editor.
5.Finally restart the windows7 machine.
